About the Author

Julia Howard is a mother of four and recently became a proud grandmother of three. She spent 18 years in corporate America building mission-driven safety companies that protect vulnerable populations. She served as Vice President of Operations for AmberAlertGPS, focused on child safety, and later as Chief Operating Officer of AlertGPS, supporting the safety of mobile and lone workers.

After an unexpected career transition, Julia found herself asking a question many people face at some point in life—what’s next? The answer came in a quiet, meaningful moment while holding her grandson, Heath. As she noticed his beautiful dimples, she was reminded of a story her own mother used to tell her. In that moment, a new path began.

Inspired by the insecurities many of us carry growing up, Julia created Made Me Perfect, a publishing brand centered on helping children see their uniqueness as something to be celebrated. Through her stories, she hopes to empower kids to embrace what makes them different—and to recognize that the very things they once felt insecure about can become their greatest strengths. Julia’s mission is simple: to help very child feel seen, valued, and wonderfully one-of-a-kind.
